She is listed in America's Top Doctors, Best Doctors in America, Top Ophthalmologists in America, New York Magazine, Super Doctors, Patients Choice Award and Patients Choice for Compassion, as well as many others. Dr. Gallin is a full Professor in two Departments: Ophthalmology and Pediatrics.rn rnHer practice includes teaching international students, residents, and medical students her specialty. She is an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology and has received numerous honors; including the Luella Benack Caretakers Award from United Cerebral Palsy, as well has having been a member of Hilary Clinton's White House Task Force. Her residency at Mt. Sinai, N.Y., was followed by study with the leaders in Pediatric Ophthalmology at four institutions: NY Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center, National Children's Medical Center, Johns Hopkins University and Cornell University. She won a prestigious Heed Fellowship to be a fellow.rn rnPatient-focused care is of paramount importance to Dr. Gallin. She often gives second and third opinions. Many of the patients have multisystemic disease, and Dr. Gallin works closely with other physicians and will always call patients back.
