He has over 50 years experience. His work includes consultation, supervision, psychotherapy, and, psychoanalysis, The latter is for persistent or recurring problems of major importance personally and is more intensive. With insight-oriented therapy, the focus is on learning about oneself and relationships. rnrnDr. Jacobs graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, in Philadelphia. Dr. Jacobs completed his residency training in Neurology at the Neurological Institute and in Psychitry at the Psychiatric Institute, both at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, New York. rnReturning to Philadelphia, he completed Psychoanalytic Training at the Philadlphia Association for Psychoanalysis, now the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. Medication may be prescribed as indicated.
